I already have CCleaner for my laptop, but I want to know if spyware & malware can cause my laptop to run slow too?
I do have CCleaner on my laptop, but I want to know if spyware & malware clog up my laptop too (causing it to run slow) and if so should I get an anti-spyware/malware protection too? Or is CCleaner all I need (that can clean spyware/malware too)?
i virused scan my computer and it found some virus's which i got rid of.
now im getting tons of pop ups and i use dial up so i need a good free anti spyware and spamware that doesnt take incredibly long to download!
please!!
I've been trying for hours to get rid of Spyware Guard 2008. I've tried suggestions given here. But somehow Spyware Guard 2008 is blocking the removal tools from being downloaded. Or in the case of Spyware Doctor, the inital download is allowed but then the required database download is blocked.
How do I unblock the removal tools from being downloaded?
BTW, please don't answer with boilerplate about what Spyware Guard 2008 is. I know what it is.
Thanks,
Greg
i was wanting to watch twilight online and i clicked run on this one website. now i have like spyware stuff popping up and my internet keeps closing down..i think i got my comp infected.is there anything i can do to fix it, please help
I've recently encountered this on my computer and ran some scans to get rid of it. According to them, I'm clean. Although, I'm still being told that Automatic Updates are turned off, even though when I go into Control Panel etc. it's already on automatic. I am also still getting pop-up ads in new browsers every so often.
Is there something I can do to rid myself of this?
i use it but someone told me it use to be a rogue program, that true? is it legit now and safe to use?
I just started noticing this yesterday. Everytime I search through the yahoo or google search engine, the results I get rediret me to stupid spyware sites.
Heres an example, I go to yahoo.com and search "google" and here the result first result I get
Google
(Nasdaq: GOOG)
Google allows users to search the Web for images, news, products, video, and other content.
freescan.antivirus.com/google.html
notice the description is fine, but the link at the bottom is some free scan anti virus crap, the other results redirect me to sites like
scan.antivirus-2009.com
www.moxiesearch.com
www.moxiesearch.com
www.findlinks.com
This is not only on yahoo.com 's search engine, but also on google
But on internet explorer is perfectly fine
How do I get rid of this? I tried re-installing firefox, but no success.
I was on the computer on the Internet and all the sudden this website popped up saying that I had 54 viruses on the computer and that I should clear them all but every time we clicked to exit out of the box we would get a Trojan warning from our own anti virus program. That website was definitely fake right? Also the name of the website doesn't sound very legit...

I have burning software (Roxio) that will allow me to do a backup on CDs or DVDs but if i did so, would the problem be transferred over onto those discs?
Would I be better served just to manually save files i specifically want and programs i know are OK?
What should I do here? Please help!
But hwo do I delete it? like i right clik nd press delete but it says i can't
I was on a site looking at myspace layouts and all of a sudden there's the screen switches and it says spyware has been detected and to download some antivirus. But,when I ran my virus scan nothing was detected should I download it anyway or not.
hi. recently all 3 sites provide a page load error. it's isolated to this machine; happens at multiple locations & other computers at this location access the pages fine. firefox 3.0.5. ran symantec, avg antispyware, smitfraudfix, & spybot. disconnected router & rebooted. no connection from IE either. i don't recall making any changes around the time this occurred. i was able to ping the sites. as fate would have it, a search engine is showing a page that seems to address my exact symptoms, but it's on wikipedia... i've run out of tricks here, and i don't know enough about registry keys to go mucking about. please help?
right, forgot to mention i turned off my firewall and antivirus software with no changes.
holy crap, Bhaskar, i love you so hard. it's working again.

I got this Malware after downloading a program. It was attached to it. I use and run "Malwarebytes Anitspyware" on a regular basis, however, after 4 full scans, it will not remove it. It will remove everything except what it says "Log in as Administer" to remove items.
Thanks in advance
